The previous owner's save, left on the cart on purpose. They played it a little at a time in elementary and middle school, mostly to get away from studying for tests. The game is set to Japanese and parked on the world map at S2 (巨大橋 / The Big Bridge) with 73 of 100 treasures and a maxed-out 999 coins.

    Played by the first owner during elementary and middle school, a bit at a time, as an escape from studying for tests. They remember having to find a key in each area and leaving lots of areas uncleared.

    Meanwhile in the US, around age 7, I played Wario Land 3 on my cousin's Game Boy Color. I never had a Game Boy Color of my own growing up.

I remember there being a sort of tutorial at the start of the game, so once you've had a look around, it might be more fun to reset and play from the beginning!

Oh, you can do that?! I played it a little at a time in elementary and middle school to escape from studying for tests, so no memories at all (^^) I think you had to find a key in each area, and there are probably plenty of areas I never cleared. I hope you enjoy it!
